ST. CHARLES, Ill., (February 25, 2026) – Before winter officially comes to an end, Rexy, AO Racing’s ferocious Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr will head to Big Sky, Montana to compete in the FAT Ice Race for a two-day celebration of automotive culture and ultimate snow play, February 27-28.
While Rexy calls St. Charles, Illinois home, this will mark his first time playing in snow of this scale, trading familiar Midwestern winters for the wide-open, ice-covered playground of the Montana mountains during the iconic winter festival.
Originally founded in 1952 near Zell em See in the Austrian Alps to honor Porsche AG founder Ferdinand Porsche, the Ice race fan for more than two decades before going dormant. The event was revived in 2019 by Ferdi Porsche, the great-grandson of Ferdinand Porsche, breathing new life into the historic celebration of winter racing. Today, the FAT Ice Race blends historic rally cars and modern race machinery into a festival that celebrates the culture, creativity, and fun of motorsport on ice.
Rexy will appear exactly as he finished the 2024 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season at Petit Le Mans, proudly covered in fan autographs as he secured the GTD PRO class championship title.
The event will not be streamed live, but AO Racing fans will get a front row seat to Rexy’s snowy exploits through coverage on the team’s social media channels.
