AO Racing was formed in 2022 by PJ Hyett and Gunnar Jeannette with a vision of winning at the top level of motorsports. Hyett is a passionate collector and scholar of the sports history, and Jeannette’s own motorsport resume is long and illustrious. We are professional organization but aim to bring the fun back into motorsport, eager to win the hearts of race fans, young and old.

In our first season of full-time professional racing, we competed in the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GTD class with Rexy, the No. 80 Tyrannosaurus Rex Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr. In the FIA World Endurance Championship, we partnered with Project 1, running a full season and bringing Rexy to the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans.
AO Racing’s first foray into LMP2 racing began at the start of 2024 with a full season in the Asian Le Mans Series with Proton Competition running the No. 55 LMP2 Oreca.
In our sophomore year of racing in IMSA WeatherTech, AO Racing is proud to race Rexy, the No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 R in the GTD PRO class, joined by Spike, the No. 99 Oreca Dragon in the LMP2 class. Rexy earned the first professional motorsport win for AO Racing at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca with Sebastian Priaulx and Laurin Heinrich. The pair followed up their victory with a second win at the Detroit Grand Prix.
We’ve partnered up with TF Sport to enter the ORLEN Team AO by TF No. 14 Oreca 07 Gibson in the European Le Mans Series, driven by Robert Kubica, Louis Delétraz, and Jonny Edgar.
This season, we returned to the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans, with Spike our Dragon winning Hyperpole and finishing in second place with PJ Heyett, Louis Delétraz, and Alex Quinn.
For our second season in professional sports car racing, AO Racing is contesting a full season in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, based in North America. One of the most prestigious sports car racing series in the world, the championship features a diverse range of sports cars, including purpose-built prototypes and production-based GT cars from leading manufacturers such as Porsche, Acura, Audi, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-AMG, and more.
The championship includes of a series of endurance races held across North America, including iconic events such as the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and the Petit Le Mans. The races range in length from two to 24 hours, and each race features a variety of classes, including Daytona Prototype international (DPi), Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2), and GT Daytona Pro (GTD Pro), and GT Daytona (GTD).
The series attracts some of the biggest names in motorsports, including professional drivers from around the world, as well as up-and-coming talents. The championship is known for its close racing, intense competition, and high level of professionalism, making it a fan favorite among sports car racing enthusiasts.
In addition to the on-track action, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship also features a range of fan activities, including autograph sessions, fan forums, and interactive exhibits, making it a complete motorsports experience for fans of all ages—Something we’re all about here at AO Racing!
A new year often brings with it new challenges to face and new goals to achieve. For us, 2024 has brought the aim of fighting for overall victory in the European Le Mans Series. To turn this vision into reality ORLEN Team AO by TF has lined up three aces to drive the #14 Oreca 07 Gibson that will race in the LMP2 class of the upcoming European Le Mans Series.
The European Le Mans Series is a sports car endurance racing series, split into three classes: LMP2, LMP3, and LMGTE. The 2024 season consists of six four-hour races across Europe.

Created by the Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), the Asian Le Mans series is a professional GT, LMP2, and LMP3 racing series open to professional racers from all over the world. The 2023/2024 championship acts as the 12th running of the series, hosting five endurance racing rounds between December 20204 and February 2024. AO Racing has partnered with Proton Competition for this season’s championship effort, running all five four-hour endurance races in Malaysia, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi in the No. 55 Oreca.
